This is my first sponge blender - before this, I was using the standard foundation brush which I have adored for years now. The sponge fits very comfortably in your hand. The base is firm yet the texture is like a sponge. I previously thought that it would be as light and delicate as a typical sponge - not. It is firm and yet soft.
